Job Description:

The Maintenance Mechanic I will be a highly self-motivated, customer-centric, team player which possesses basic carpentry, mechanical, electrical and janitorial experience to assist in day to day operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with supervision to troubleshoot basic conveyor material handling systems, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection systems
• Responsible for projects related to facilities as directed by the Supervisor
• Work regularly on aerial platform lifts, boom/snorkel lift, and powered industrial trucks (reach, order picker, stand up, pallet runners, stock chaser, etc.)
• Complete work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents
• Responsible for keeping and maintaining tools, supplies, and a clean, organized work area

Job Requirements:

• Proficient using hand & power tools and electrical testing equipment including PLC systems
• Proficient using computer systems and CMMS software
• Will be required to wear applicable personal protective equipment including arc flash protection and safety shoes
• Ability to regularly bend, lift, stretch, crawl and reach, engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists and stand and walk for long periods
• Must be comfortable repeatedly lifting up to 75 lbs unassisted
• Ability to access all areas of the building by climbing ladders and gangways safely and without limitation
• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment that can be noisy and have a low lighting levels
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team and take direction
• Must be a safety conscious, motivated, detail oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude
• Must be flexible on working hours and willing to work scheduled & unscheduled overtime

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum 1 year experience in industrial maintenance or relevant certification(s)
• Experienced safely using warehouse equipment such as order pickers, pallet jacks, forklifts and aerial lifts
• Experience with basic carpentry including painting, drywall, cleaning and basic maintenance
