Assistant Property Acquisitions Manager – Starbucks Careers

Job Description:

We’re looking for an assistant property acquisitions manager to join our store development team to support us with the acquisition of new sustainable and profitable sites UK-wide to meet our annual store growth target across our company owned stores. Working closely with our partners (employees) across the real estate team, you’ll play a key role in the delivery of our new store opening program building a pipeline of new stores to meet the following year’s targets through building relationships with agents and landlords across the UK.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out due diligence for new prospective sites, including completing site visits, making sure they are suitable for one of our store formats, for example a drive thru
  • Negotiating and executing commercially sound agreements for lease contracts and leases, favourable to Starbucks including rent reviews, service charge budgets and alienation provisions
  • Building site approval packs and presenting to functional alignment committee
  • Developing best practices and ways of working with the construction and design team to make sure every store is opened right, first time, and upholds the company vision and brand experience
  • Managing our panel of external consultants, setting clear direction and deadlines to make sure stores are open right first time
  • Building sound financial appraisals to make sure all sites meet company financial benchmarks, and creating a robust sales justification with the operations team
  • Managing prospective sites through Starbucks pipeline management system all the way to approval
  • Supporting networking strategy by organizing or attending events to showcase Starbucks new store openings strategy, formats and store specification to landlords and agents
