Website Spirit Airlines

Job Description:

This position is one of the driving forces of revenue creation and maximization for one of the fastest growing airlines on Earth. With ancillary products representing roughly 50% of the organization’s revenue, this position has the Captain’s seat to re-define and shape the future of our 3rd party ancillary partnerships such as travel insurance and vacation package revenue (hotels, cars, attractions) for our leisure-centric airline.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Product Management – From ideation to execution, the driving force behind new product initiatives for vacation packages and 3rd party ancillary partnerships. Working with a cross-section of team members to ensure we think about the entire business (from Network Planning and Airport Operations to Guest Care), learning multiple facets of the industry to ensure we make the best overall product decisions.
  • Partner Management / Negotiation – works closely with all stakeholders (internal and external) to become the SME ensuring we know our partner’s products – from travel insurance to rental cars to Las Vegas suites. Help ensure we holistically work with our partners to drive incremental business and improvements to our mutual Guest experiences together. Negotiate new contracts that provide Spirit and our partners value as we identify new opportunities in an ever-expanding arena of partners that provide greater value to our Guests on their travel journey.
  • Drive Vacation Packaging Revenue – improve and drive our vacation packaging offerings and standalone products. Work closely with all channel owners and business analysts to find and document opportunities to provide exposure to packaging products and drive additional revenue. Collaborate and suggest A/B and multivariate tests that provide value to our Guests and improve revenue or user experience. Work closely with IT to understand systems limitations and find faster ways to deliver on key initiatives.
  • Innovation and Industry Trends – Knowing what others are doing, especially in the travel industry is key to ensuring our products remain competitive. Ensure we always keep a close eye on changes that others make inside and out of the industry to ensure Spirit stays competitive for all our 3rd party ancillary products. Leverage what our key partners are doing to improve revenue and the Guest experience by actively providing feedback to other internal product teams on opportunities Spirit might utilize.
