Job Description:
The Director of Powerplant is responsible for Executing the Company’s Powerplant Operations Function, which includes Engine/APU Asset Management, Removal Planning, Off Wing Maintenance, MRO Shop Oversight, and Budgeting. Position will operate a matrix support organization consisting of Internal Spirit Functions (Planning, Finance, QEC Shop Build Up, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain) and External Functions (MRO Shops, Used Material Suppliers, End of Life Asset Management, and Work scope Oversight).
Job Responsibilities:
- Approve Daily planning to insure Engine and APU spare levels remain to approved levels
- Interface with Spirit Equipment Lessors to fulfill lease requirements on all leased Engines and APU Assets
- Prepare an annual Budget to accompany the Operational Plan and manage to achieve approved budget
- Serve on the Technical Operations senior staff to advise/guide on overall department strategies and policy. This will include roles on the departments CASS and Reliability Board Functions.
- Oversee 1 Direct Report (Analyst, Power Plant) to assist with Planning, Budgeting
- Manage company QEC Removal Function
- Senior Technical Operations Interface Point for MRO shops under FHA or T&M contracts with Spirit
- Prepare an annual Engine and APU Operational Plan to achieve all maintenance requirements on Spirit’s fleet
- Effect Matrix management over internal Spirit functions and external partners
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years managing Power Plant Operational Functions (Engineering, Planning, Shop Oversight
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, Finance a plus)
- A&P License preferred
