Job Description:

The Enterprise Strategy Consultant is responsible for category spend analysis, developing category strategies in partnership with other Team members, facilitating strategic plan deliverables, coordinating financial analysis reviews with peers in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and delivering Executive level presentations on strategy planning and execution. Utilizing market data and business intelligence research, the Enterprise Strategy Consultant will evaluate and alert Category Managers of opportunities to drive value and reduce supply base risk.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Communicates with various levels of leadership to share information across multiple platforms, delegate responsibilities, and promote support and interaction among project teams
  • Independently leads complex projects impacting the entire Enterprise
  • Engage relevant stakeholders across the organization to improve existing tools, increase effectiveness, and to identify opportunities for process automation
  • Develop working knowledge of the dynamics of each business unit supported by ESCM
  • Develops and optimizes savings and other value capture methodologies and communicates results to all stakeholders including senior leadership
  • Utilizes CI and other process improvement constructs to drive efficiencies in Supply Chain processes
  • Utilize reliable self-service applications to provide meaningful insights in support of intelligent sourcing, vendor management, and process improvement
  • Takes a lead role and is effective in furthering objectives, facilitating discussions and resolving conflicts
  • Independently assumes project management duties for multiple projects, including the most complex projects that affect the Enterprise
  • Partners with SCM Center of Excellence, Analytics, and Supplier Risk Management to ensure accuracy of data utilized in spend reporting
  • Partners with ESCM team members, stakeholders, and FP&A to set and monitor spend and savings targets for managed spend across each business unit

  • Advises Team and department with department with complex market intelligence. Can translate complicated financial information to a visual representation that non-financial stakeholders can understand
  • Communicates in a manner that is appropriate for audience; can “read the room” and adjust quickly if necessary to make the most positive impact
  • Anticipates Customers’ questions and prepares communication accordingly
  • Is confident and poised at all times, even when delivering hard messages and/or handling challenges from peers/Leaders

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience – Business, Information Systems, Computer Science
  • Management financial data preferred (i.e. SAP)
  • Economic/financial analysis, bid analysis, should-cost scenarios, and cross-functional team leadership
  • Data analysis and visualization tools preferred (i.e. Advanced Excel, MS Access, SAP Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Power BI, and/or Alteryx)
