Southwest Careers – Associate Internal Auditor

Job Description:

Conduct audits to identify risks and evaluate the effectiveness of operational, financial, compliance and/or technology controls. Supports the day-to-day execution of objectives on audit engagements including following the audit program and documenting work steps.

• Gain proficiency in formulating written material in a precise and persuasive way

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
• Understands and is able to communicate internal controls related to financial, operational, technology, and/or compliance risk.
• Understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
• Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
• Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
• Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
• Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Qualification & Experience:

• Required: High School Diploma or GED
• Required: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems and/or a related business field
• Entry-level experience; developing skills and knowledge in Internal Audit, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems and/or a related business field
