Job Description:

This role is responsible for driving the strategic evolution of Southwest’s enterprise social media strategy and identifying opportunities for the Company to utilize social media strategies and tactics to support business objectives. Serves as strategic advisor to department Leadership and Executives and works with all levels of Employees to develop and execute social media programs and initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and lead exploratory efforts and pilot programs that support the development of new social media programs and initiatives
  • Align organizational resources to create timely social media strategies that deliver measurable business results
  • Build and maintain productive relationships across the enterprise to achieve collective strategic goals as they pertain to the use and/or governance of social media
  • Partner with internal Teams to create and maintain internal and external social platforms and online presence for department Leadership and Company Executives
  • Work directly with peers, corporate officers, the CEO, and Board of Directors to advise and counsel on local business and social issues from the perspective of online Culture
  • Leverage social listening insights and data points to inform business decisions
  • Responsible for the social media strategy and thought leadership of large or multiple work groups
  • Develop business cases for social media programs and initiatives that create brand loyalty, revenue streams, Customer insights, increased
  • Reputation, and Employee engagement
  • Create and execute social media strategies across the enterprise to drive adoption, use, and governance of social media and social media programs
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to come up with unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem
  • Knowledge of paid, owned, and earned media and their convergence in the social and digital landscape
  • Ability to identify, assess, and make recommendations using social media insights to mitigate risk to Southwest’s reputation
  • Ability to influence beyond positional authority and work with all levels of Leaders and Employees throughout the Company
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning and resource allocation
    Knowledge of social media platforms and technologies that enable the management of social media assets, resources, and data at scale
  • Expert knowledge of social media strategies and tactics that drive organizational performance in the areas of Communication, Marketing, and
  • Engagement
  • Ability to listen, understand, and communicate ideas presented in writing and/or in speaking with others
  • Skilled in understanding and applying information to contribute to the Company’s strategic plan

Qualification & Experience:

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
