Job Description:

Ensures regulatory compliance in LEAD Operations Training by acting as the primary point of contact within the business unit for any federally mandated rules, programs or procedures. This includes responsibility for the application of rules and interpretations through developing and maintaining Department standards and documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
  • Helps design and facilitates training on regulatory subjects as warranted
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of required manuals and documentation to support LEAD Ops Training
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of LEAD Ops Training standards to ensure consistency in the operation
  • Coaches and develops Team members, providing timely performance feedback
  • Oversees the processing and reporting of federally mandated LEAD Ops Training related data
  • Helps develop and oversee any process/procedure development for International, ETOPS or other special missions
  • Regular interfaces with FAA, A4A, industry peers and SWA Regulatory Compliance Teams to ensure an accurate interpretation and application of the LEAD Ops Training related FARs and other regulations
  • Performs other related duties as directed by the Director of Flight Operations Training and Standards

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to handle complex issues and meet deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of Training related FARs, FOTM, AQPM, OQS Recordkeeping, and the CBA
  • Skilled in collaboration, facilitation and implementation of new concepts
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations while maintaining confidentiality
  • Skilled in organization and process to develop and maintain required manuals and documentation
  • Ability to communicate complex topics in a simple manner and interact with/present to all levels of management
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Ability to work well with others as part of a Team, professionally interact with other departments, labor groups
  • Skilled in research and analysis
  • Skilled in writing and in personal communication and public speaking
  • Skilled in problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, strategic, decision-making, and time management
  • Ability to think strategically and understand the relationship between current actions and future consequences
  • Ability to master current and emergent PC software packages

Qualification & Experience:

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Airline operation/compliance/regulatory environment
  • Experience working in data analytics – gathering and interpreting data
  • Intermediate level experience, fully functioning, broad knowledge in:
