Job Responsibilities:

• Always maintain and keep up the standard of the hypermarket.
• Ensure the store (interior & exterior) is clean and tidy, (back door, chiller, freezer rooms, store rooms etc..).
• To ensure full support of promotion activity within the department.
• To ensure all sections are manned, tasks like housekeeping & administration (follow up) are correctly carried out within the costs and at the correct time before hypermarket opens for trade.
• Maximize department presentation standards through the maintenance of all disciplines relating to shelf edges labels, POPs, merchandising & display, special advertisement and promotion advertising materials.
• To operate the Fresh Food Department effectively and efficiently in conjunction with the rules and regulations set up by the management.
• To maximize sales through the close monitoring of product availability, hygiene, cleanliness, freshness and quality of stock.
• Through the effective organization of staff, ensure that all departmental daily work routines are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
• To contribute to departmental profitability, by maximizing sales and controlling staff costs, damages and wastage.
• Guide and organize staff to ensure daily work routines for refilling the shelves (replenishment).
• Minimize department losses through correct product handling (minimum damages and distress), adherence to company policies such as stock transfer and rotation, stock holding, markdowns, price changes, date checks (production and expiry date), quality checking and through continual focus on all aspects relating to security (pilferages & shrinkages).
• Maintain the standard of fresh food department at all time.
• Maintain the departmental roster and provide the correct level of staff for the operations throughout the trading hours. Ensure the replacement is on duty and give over & take over is correctly done.
• Ensure the quality levels of food products and maintain quality standards in production, services, facilities and Customer satisfaction.
