Job Responsibilities:

• Check for non-moving / slow moving items and take action to discontinue them.
• Buying the right product at the right time for the right price and sell it at a competitive price.
• Seek merchandise feedback from customers.
• Introduce new and innovative products.
• Participate in promotional activities.
• Visit competitors’ shops periodically and watch their display, products, promotions etc.
• Write reports and forecast sales levels.
• Ensure price changes are affected before shop opening.
• Maintain relationship with existing suppliers and source new and alternative suppliers for future requirements.
• React to changes in demand and changes in logistics.
• Follow up constantly with suppliers and ensure ordered items are received on time without delay.
• Work with suppliers to develop new products and re-launch existing lines.
• Ensure promotion products are displayed with proper visibility in bulk area/separate area.
• Utilization of shelf space productively for merchandizing.
• Check for overstock and return it to suppliers.
• Help control stock levels by varying delivery schedules or recommending clearance sales.
• Ensure availability of import products as well as local products.
• Ensure out of stock & low-stock items are procured and displayed in the shelf without delay.
