Job Description:
GapTech, is looking for a Senior Staff Mobile Engineer with the Cross Channel Mobile Application team, who will lead requirement gathering, technical discussions, conception, creation and delivery of quality software for store mobile products. This individual will work closely with tech lead, product managers and business support teams to develop high-end mobile applications and frameworks with Android or iOS.
Job Responsibilities:
- With a DevOps mindset, improve the overall quality of the product leveraging clean code, test automation, CI/CD practices and smart monitoring.
- Works collaboratively with technical and business team members to design, develop and maintain the cross channel mobile applications and solution following Agile development principles and practices.
- Design and develop high-performing sustainable codebase; participate in code reviews and proof of concepts.
- Work with project teams, external providers and support teams to assume timely resolution to production and project issues.
- Lead engineering team in designing and developing mobile applications with an eye towards simplicity, reliability, manageability, extensibility, performance and re-use.
- Provides technical expertise in the areas of architecture, UI design, implementation, and testing.
Job Requirements:
- Skilled in architecting, designing and developing highly scalable and available native mobile applications.
- Experience developing reusable frameworks for Android or Apple mobile platform.
- Disciplined in DevOps practice including Agile development, test driven developement, CI/CD.
- Strong focus on security; experienced in handling customer data, knowledge of PCI / PII etc.
- Experienced with tools used for UI testing, automation, debugging, code analysis and coverage.
- Able to showcase strong examples of high volume mobile applications delivered to market
- 8+ years of software development experience with 5+ years in native Android or iOS Mobile development.
- Experience with REST service integration and familiarity with OO design patterns.
