dnata is a leading global provider of aviation services with a presence in 136 airports across 37 countries with its head office in Dubai. In Switzerland, dnata has been providing ground handling services at the international airports of Zurich and Geneva for more than 60 years.

To further strengthen our management team, we are looking for a committed and experienced personality for the Ground Logistics department at our Zurich location as a Manager Ground Logistics.

Job Responsibilities:

• Management of the Ground Logistics department in accordance with our dnata Leadership Principles as well as coaching and supporting the management team in leading the approx. 200 (full and part-time) department employees
• Participation in and management of projects (process optimizations, digitalization, development of innovative services, etc.)
• Efficient resource management related employees (selection, development, succession planning), infrastructure and equipment
• Financial accountability for the departmental cost centers, including budgeting & forecasting
• Ensure a high process quality in full compliance with all internal and external safety, security and environmental requirements as well as industry and customer standards and regulations
• Roles within the internal emergency organization
• Maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners at Zurich Airport

Job Requirements:

• Strong leadership skills and taking joy in working in a multicultural environment
• Several years of relevant professional experience in a line / staff management function, preferably with successful financial responsibility, in the field of ground handling (apron) at a handling agent, an airline or an airport
• Excellent command of German and English (oral & written)
• Proficient in the use of all relevant business applications
• High process and customer focus
• Analytical thinking, quick mind and perception, systematic way of working
• Resilient personality with a high level of initiative and an innovative way of thinking
• Professional qualification seconded by further education in business administration or a degree from a university of applied sciences
