Chevron Jobs – Bay Area Terminal Operator

Job Description:

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Bay Area Terminal Operator located in Chevron Banta Terminal, California, through June 2, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

Job Responsibilities:

• Product receipt, storage handling, transfer, and distribution functions safely.
• Perform activities in the tank yard and Tank Truck Loading Rack (TTLR) areas. For Example: Gauging Tanks, switching tanks serving TTLR, performing daily inspections and performing intra terminal product movements.
• Complete all Company and Regulatory training including computer base training
• Instructs, train, assists and certifies all jobber/commercial carrier drivers in safe loading.
• Monitors performance and testing of various terminal automation and alarm system.
• Must perform various terminal monitoring and tasks using PC skills.
• Performs administrative duties as necessary including daily weekly, monthly reports.
• Complete daily facility inspection and scheduled maintenance and verifications of terminal equipment.
• Product quality control sampling and testing to ensure product integrity.
• Issues general and hot work permits in compliance with Chevron Safe Work Practices and ensures contractor safety
• Perform Inventory Reconciliation
• Terminal stock accounting functions including daily rack and inventory balances.
• Maintain terminal records as directed. For example: Stock Control, Waste/regulatory and Additive inventory
• Strong commitment to safety and active participation in HOP (Human and Operational Performance)
• Perform routine clerical activities such as filing, maintenance of office equipment

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• This position requires driving on a routine basis. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license with a safety record.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.

Qualification & Experience:

• Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practices.
• Knowledge of industry-recognized condition monitoring programs.
• 5+ years prior experience working in terminal operations.
• Associates or higher degree (or equivalent).
