Job Description

The Senior Specialist is responsible for the purchasing and supply management activities for the Primary and Secondary Packaging components which may include the following: Compression and Injection Molding. Provide superior levels of customer service and satisfaction while adhering to a strict standard of business ethics and integrity. The Senior Procurement Specialist has delegated authority to commit company funds.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage supply risks and ensure supply continuity.
• Support Operations issues and invoice error resolution.
• Activities include sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers, negotiating supply agreements, and monitoring the quality and timeliness of materials.
• Drive value and lead savings outcomes.
• Collaborate with other functional areas in Division and Plant roles (Manufacturing, Packaging Engineering, Research and Development, Quality,
• Product Stewardship Group, Regulatory, Legal, Planning, Project Management, and Commercial)
• Manage highly complex and specialized projects.
• Creates analytical tools for tracking of supply and pricing data.
• Manage cost models and pricing updates.
• Manage contracts – up to $1,000,000.
• Recommend process improvements to streamline for efficiencies.
• Responsible for purchasing the Primary and Secondary Packaging components, supporting multiple plants of the business unit.

Job Requirements:

• 4+ years of Procurement and/or deep Category Management experience. Some functional experience.
• Ability to develop actionable implementations plans.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to utilize advanced MS Excel skills or other tools for reporting and trending.
• Excellent program/project management skills.
• Able to deal with ambiguity and adapt to change.
• Bachelor’s degree: Engineering, Science, Business, or Financial Degrees.
• Relevant business process knowledge, as related to Procurement and Category Management.
• Good understanding of capacity and demand planning principles.
